Qi Gong
Qi Gong (pronounced “chee gung”)
Simple definition: Qi (“subtle breath” or “vital energy”) and Gong (“skill achieved through steady practice”).
Qi Gong can be described as a mind-body-spirit practice that improves one's mental and physical health by integrating posture, movement, breathing technique, self-massage, sound, and visualization. There are many qigong forms, traditions, and lineages, each with different theories and applications. Today most are health-oriented, while some are from martial arts lineages.
Qi Gong opens the movement of energy in the energy channels used in Chinese, Ayurvedic, and Tibetan medicine. It enhances our ability to feel the force underlying the physical world and to enhance our connection with it.
